Case study
Our team successfully delivered the complete tarmacing and surfacing package for a large new-build housing estate over a structured two-year programme. The works covered all primary and secondary estate roads, footpaths, private driveways and access routes, totalling 27,700 m² of newly constructed surfaces.
A cumulative 9,500 tonnes of asphalt was laid across the project, coordinated through multiple construction phases to align with plot handovers, utility installations, and the housebuilder’s build schedule. The project was valued at £1.2 million and was completed on time, safely, and to a high-quality finish.

Primary & Secondary Routes

The two-year programme was delivered in coordinated phases to support the estate’s build progress. Our approach included:
Weekly liaison with the principal contractor ensured that the surfacing programme remained flexible and responsive to changing site conditions.
With multiple trades operating simultaneously, careful planning was essential. Our phased programme avoided clashes with earthworks, bricklaying, landscaping and M&E installation.
As families moved into early phases, safe access routes were maintained. Temporary traffic plans and phased closures minimised disruption.
Winter periods required flexible scheduling and protective measures to ensure asphalt could be laid within temperature tolerances.
